The XYZ is Doc's latest high performance short board shred stick. After experimenting with how deep a single concave can be before it becomes a liability, it turns out it can be deeper than previously thought. The super deep single concave gives you lift and speed. Combine that with aggressive rocker nose to tail, and you get a board that really rewards committed surfing. Its outline is slightly more pull in than your average performance shapes but together with the foil and distribution of foam you’re quickly up and going. The board really gains speed through maneuvers. The harder you push the more speed you get rewarded with.
